Personalized Digital Space Design
Personalized digital space design is the orchestrated use of digital devices, web apps and services that help accomplish student-centered tasks in face-to-face and online learning environments.
GROUPWERK™ services strive to provide insight and strategies to educators by helping to create the pedagogical shift from teacher-centered learning to student-centered learning.
From a technological standpoint, public and private cloud computing services have contributed to this shift by allowing people to choose their own consumer IT. Educators and students can now design much of their own digital space rather than just use what an institution or organization tells them what they can use for mobile devices, web apps and services.
The workshops and resources presented in this section help educators as technology moves from tools used to simply enhance the curriculum, to teaching digital literacies within subject literacies. Together, these all combine to create a variety of digital learning spaces as the integration of Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge prepare students to develop understanding of concepts and connects them with the world.
